I guide gently when it helps, but mostly I let your day unfold naturally — the laughter, the nerves, the little in-between moments — all captured exactly as they happen. I blend relaxed, guided portraits with natural documentary storytelling to capture your day honestly and beautifully. Drawn to symmetry, reflections, and pockets of light and shadow, I create images with a rich, cinematic feel and a dark, soulful edge.
Rather than one long portrait session, I prefer four or five short mini shoots throughout the day. This means you can stay present, enjoy your guests, and experience different light and moods — from soft daytime glow to evening atmosphere — without ever feeling like you’re missing your own wedding.
The result is a collection of images that feels effortless, emotive, and completely true to you.

Hi, I’m Jake a wedding photographer based in Holywood with 15+ years’ experience and over 700 weddings behind me. I’ve photographed at pretty much every wedding venue in Northern Ireland.
From castles to coastlines, I’ve seen it all — and I still love every second. Experience that means calm, confidence, and still being surprised by the magic.

Forget the Marathon Session. Most couples dread being hauled away for hours. I do things differently.
The 10-Minute Mini. We’ll slip away for 4 or 5 "mini-shoots" (just 5–10 minutes each) throughout the day.
Chase the Light. By spreading it out, we capture your love in every light—from post-ceremony glow to romantic sunset and late-night vibes.
Be the Life of the Party. The most important thing is that you actually attend your wedding. No missed canapés, no neglected guests—just quick, fun bursts of magic so you can get back to the dance floor.

An absolutely amazing pick for a wedding photographer. From the moment Jake arrived on our big day he was outgoing, charismatic and made the day very easy.. right down to showing me how to do cufflinks 😅
On the opportunities we got to go away for photo's, they were done smoothly, easily and quickly.. with plenty of laughs and jokes.. and the results look absolutely amazing!
As for the rest of the time? I barely even noticed he was there.. but the photos show he was and the results again, amazing!
