Anna + Jamie: A Summer Wedding to Remember

Back in the summer (remember that sunshine and warmth?), Anna and Jamie tied the knot in one of my all-time favorite locations. This spot is extra special to me—it’s where I shot my very first wedding over 10 years ago. So, coming back here felt like a beautiful full-circle moment.

The day began a bit ominously, with dark skies and a steady drizzle. But as soon as I arrived, the warm welcome from Anna’s family completely brightened the mood. I just knew it was going to be a fantastic day! Their intimate ceremony took place in the beautifully converted stables, officiated by the amazing Ciara Turley, a Humanist celebrant who brought such a personal touch to the proceedings.

The rain lingered after the ceremony, so we held off on outdoor photos. I always say: spend time with your friends and family—the photos can wait! And wait we did, but not for long. When the rain slowed, the bridesmaids (well, actually the groomsmen) jumped into action. We dashed to the greenhouse and gardens for a quick but magical photo session. The results were stunning, proving once again that you don’t need hours to capture incredible moments.

As the rain eased up even more, we gathered everyone in the courtyard for a confetti celebration. Instead of a traditional toss, we went for a “circle of friends and family,” and it worked like a charm! The energy was electric, and I got some great candid shots of everyone laughing and celebrating.

The Orangery provided the perfect relaxed setting for speeches. With its soft natural light and cozy vibe, it’s a dream spot for these heartfelt moments. After dinner, we ventured outside for a few more photos. I gave myself a strict 10-minute window because no one wanted to miss the first dance—especially with @thebigkahunabelfast ready to kick off the party. And wow, what a party it was! The band was phenomenal, and the dance floor was packed with epic moves all night long.
