An Urban Delight on the Historic Slipway

The Titanic Hotel Belfast is, without doubt, one of my favourite wedding venues. Since it opened, it’s become a place I love returning to again and again — and for good reason.

The Drawing Office is a photographer’s dream: pure white walls, wooden floors, beautiful reflective light, windows above and at each end… it’s a space that just glows. The light is always incredible — sometimes there’s too much, which is the best problem a photographer can have.

And the photo opportunities? Endless.
From the staircase to the Drawing Office itself, to the upstairs rooms and balconies — there are so many great spots without having to go far. Feeling adventurous? You’ve got the Titanic Building opposite, the iconic Titanic sign, the slipway… yes, lots of Titanic references, but all of them brilliant.

The slipway looks amazing in the evening — dusk or night — and the Titanic sign lights up beautifully after dark. Daytime works too, though you might share the space with a few tourists. Reflections off the hotel windows, the stunning frontage, and even Samson & Goliath in the distance all add character to the images.

I’m also proud to be on the hotel’s preferred supplier list as a trusted wedding photography vendor — something that always adds an extra layer of ease for couples planning their day here.

And inside… well, I know I’ve mentioned it a few times, but it really is incredible. You can shoot family photos in the Drawing Office with ease, use the grand staircase, wander the halls — everything just works.

A big shout-out to Gail, who I’ve worked with on countless weddings here. She makes every day run smoothly — she knows how I work, I know what she needs, and together we keep things moving with zero waiting around. It makes the whole experience a joy.

I genuinely love photographing weddings at the Titanic Hotel Belfast. Every time I’m there, it feels like home.
Thanks for having me — always.
